jumpintheair

me, Clara and Jason decide to jump in the air during picture time!

Last weekend was pretty crazy! Aside from a heat wave (113 degrees in LA!) it was a super fun weekend performing around So Cal. Some pics from last weekend:

biergarten Friday kicked off with a show at Biergarten in K-Town. Got
to see the Kollaboration fam including Flowethics and Iris!

The APEX Gala was a ton of fun! In addition to sharing the stage with my friends Clara C and Jason Yang, I got to meet Bobby Lee and Harry Shum Jr. from Glee. Good times.

So the gala was good times, indeed. Even got to see John Cho receive an award for his accomplishments in film. Didn’t have time to get a picture though! The next day all three of us played at the L.A. County Fair in Pomona. It was super hot outside but thankfully we got to play indoors. Forgot to take pictures during the performances but I did finally try the deep fried klondike that everyone was telling me about.

All in all, a great weekend! This last pic of Jason and me was taken by Liz Ehlers. The fair and the crazy heat made it feel like summer!

Me_James_Esna@RocktheVote
Just wanted to put up some pics from last Friday’s ‘Rock the Vote‘. Organized in just under 3 weeks, the night proved to be an incredible coming together of community. I was honored to participate and thrilled to share the stage with James Kyson Lee from TV’s Heroes as well as Esna whom I collaborate frequently with on YouTube. We prepared a special rendition of John Lennon’s classic ‘Imagine’ just for the evening. Betcha didn’t know James can sing, huh? Hopefully someone caught it on video and then I can put it up on YouTube. Thanks to Paul Song and Lisa Ling for having the vision for what will no doubt be the first of many Asian American Rock the Votes!

Some more pics of the night, courtesy of HypnoticAsia:

beausia
The amazing Beau Sia. Beau wrote a special piece that inspired us to all vote. “Get involved in more than a comment war!”

questcrew
Quest Crew. So I’d seen them on TV but watching them LIVE on stage was a different experience entirely! These guys have such crazy skills that I felt truly inspired watching them dance. They were a phenomenal way to end the night and for all of us that got the chance to be there we truly witnessed something amazing. Be inspired everyone, and register to vote wherever you are!

Stay tuned for more news about my upcoming tour! It’s gonna be a crazy fall.
