Have you ever wondered what a Drake song would sound like in CHINESE? Well, I’ve been eager to expand on these Chinese versions of American pop songs so Drake seemed like a good progression.
In making the video I had the chance to work with the incredible Sha Sha Jones. If you haven’t checked out her music yet then do it now! She’s amazing and when I approached her with this bilingual concept, she jumped on board.
I know you guys want to hear more Chinese versions of songs and I’m really excited to be thinking of new choices to translate! However, I do want to challenge myself with each new attempt and try something new with each effort. Thank you all for continuously following me on my journey.

Some of you may know that I love Chicago. I talk about it a lot and it’s true, I have this romantic notion of the city. Well I was recently interviewed on the Chicago-based Taiwanese blog Wai-Taiwan. Check out the feature here! Thanks to Jade for interviewing me! When it comes to Chi-town I could go on forever…

I’ve been performing a lot this summer with my buddy beatboxer Vincent Bantasan. Above is a picture of us doing a set at the Ford Amphitheater for generatioNext. Vince holds a bunch of beatbox championship titles as well as recently opened for Snoop Dogg. Come check him out tomorrow at Tuesday Night Cafe. He’s doing a set and I’ll be joining him at the end.
In the meantime check out Vince’s YouTube channel: http://youtube.com/bantasanvince

You may know him from Questcrew or from his YouTube videos, but Victor King AKA Victor Kim is working on his debut EP album and I’ve been enlisted to play keys for a few tracks! (I’ve been working on my own EP this summer too, so who knows, maybe they’ll both be completed at the same time.)
Anyways, we recently finished tracking piano for one of his tracks titled “The Gentleman”. Without giving too much away I can say that the track has this old school jazz with a touch of Sinatra, and also features one of our very good friends who’s a violin/vocalist extraordinaire, and who’s name starts with P and ends with Aul Dateh. (Who am I kidding? I’m terrible at keeping secrets.) More to come soon about the Victor King project!
