Hey folks, it’s Mother’s Day today!

It’s been way too long. Just wanted to share with you a video me and my brother Geh made for our mom. I filmed it when we went to visit her in HK recently. It had been 2 years since I last saw her, and 4 years for my brother!

Special Thanks to my boys Aziatix for having me, all the Aziaddicts fans, and friends for coming out! It was such an honor opening up for them. Nicky, Eddie and Flowsik are some of the hardest working musicians I’ve ever met and it was awesome seeing them do their thing from backstage.

Shoutouts to Daniel, Chris, Echoforward and my brother Geh for the opportunity! Aziatix’s second album is coming out soon so be sure to watch for it!

My buddies Aziatix have asked me to open for them on March 31st! It’s their LA show at the El Rey Theater. Nicky, Eddie and Flowsik are all awesome guys and I’m thrilled to perform as their opener. It’s been over a month since my last post. I’m not doing a very good job of posting, sorry guys! Here’s a continuation of my food journal from my travels to Asia in February. Here’s a sampling of the awesomeness that is Korean food from my trip to Seoul last month.

Kimchi 김치

Ah, kimchi. It’s as ubiquitous as water in Korea. Saw this during lunch. People could just walk up to it and self-serve. What this picture doesn’t show you is that this pot of kimchi reaches all the way to the floor. At the rate Koreans consume this stuff, it’s good that this pot is so deep. For the record, this was one of the best tasting kimchi I’ve ever had.

Gamjatang 감자탕

Gamjatang. It’s a spicy soup with pork spine and potato. They also put in these tortellini-like things on top. Very delicious. It was freezing while we were there (16F) so the spice was perfect. In LA’s K-Town, gamjatang is one of my favorite things to eat.

Makkoli 막걸리

So after gamjatang, our friends Bernie and Eunice decided to take us out drinking for some makkoli. Makkoli is Korean rice wine. Typically, people sample many different kinds of makkoli. It’s a sort of wine tasting if you will.

To pair with the makkoli, we ate this potato dish called pajeon. It reminded me a little of Jewish latkes. Excellent combo.

And to end the night I picked up a bottle of banana milk from the local Family Mart (similar to a 7-11). Nothing fancy, but something I don’t drink very often back in the States.

Okay, okay, enough food pictures for one post.  This is seriously turning into a food blog. I’ll have more music related stuff very soon. A lot’s been happening and there is tons I want to share with all of you. Soon, I promise!
